The Task:
Create a poster on World Population. This poster will contain graphs which predict the population for the year 2020, as well as predictions for when the Earh's population first reaches 10 billion people. The poster will also include a paragraph on the world's population growth.
Use the links found in the right hand column of this website to find the background information you will need to complete your project. These questions will help you with the written part of this project:
- Do you think that the world's population will continue to grow indefinitely?
- Do you think that the world's food supply will be able to keep up with the population growth?
- How is the huge growth in human population affecting Eart?
- What factors might slow down the growth of population.
