Use the links to information found in the right hand column of this page to complete your project.
Create a poster, pamphlet, or slide presentation on the theme: "Radioacvitity in our World."
In your project:
- List as many uses of radioactivity as you can.
- Use the internet to find out the half-lives of five different radioactive materials that are used in our world.
- Plot percentage decay graphs for these five different materials for up to 7 half-lives. Transfer the graphs to grid paper. Label the axes and show the scale.
- Pick one of the uses of radioactivity and use the internet to help describe this use. Include written descriptions and images. try to include decay graph(s) which relate to your choice. (For example, if you choose carbon dating, then show a decay graph for carbon.)
- Design a title hading for your project. Be creative!
- Use words images, and graphs creatively to make your project attractive and interesting.
Before beginning your project, make sure you are aware of the cooperatively developed criteria by which your project will be evaluated.
